The Kizhi island, located in the northern end of Lake Onego,
where an open-air museum of wooden architecture of the 17th and 18 centuries
is situated. The famous Transfiguration Church has 22 domes and is the
ultimate in the world's architecture. Kizhi is one of the 300 heritages
classified by UNESCO. Folklore and Art Festivals as well as Handicrafts
Festivals are integral parts of Kizhi summer season, which lasts as rule,
